- In 2015, while most students were focused on passing their exams and finishing university, a different kind of thinking was brewing within the halls of the Faculty of Computers and Information.
- “The idea wasn’t just about learning to code or earning a university degree — it was an attempt to understand how technology could help businesses grow and solve real-world problems.
- This is where a technology journey began, led by Ahmed Abdelrahman, the company’s founder and CEO — a journey built, from day one, on a simple principle: the client isn’t just a number on a list, but a partner in success.
- Over the years, the idea grew into an entity operating under a clear institutional structure, with a specialized team combining experience, passion, and commitment. Today, Taqnya continues to provide its services through its branches in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, with a vision focused on building digital solutions that support business growth and deliver measurable results.
Despite our growth, the principle remained the same:

The story of founding a Tiqnia company
- In 2015, with his first step into the Faculty of Computers and Information at Zagazig University, Ahmed Abdelrahman — founder and CEO of Tiqnia— began his journey into the world of programming and technology. He learned to code and specialized in information security.
Graduation project...
- The project was quite exceptional; it was directly supervised by the Dean of the College, with the participation of consultants from the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Electricity.
There, at that early stage, Ahmed Abdel Rahman and his team took on a responsibility greater than just a university project, and began working with a professional mindset from day one, as if they were laying the foundation for something bigger than just a study experience. - The idea was to build a smart lighting system that understands its surroundings — the lights automatically detect approaching cars or people and switch on instantly, while shifting to power-saving mode when no movement is detected. But it didn’t stop there: the system was also designed to monitor the temperature of the lighting units and send instant alerts when it rises, helping prevent failures before they happen and achieving the highest levels of safety and sustainability.
- This project wasn’t just an academic success — the team was honored at the Military Technical College, and it led to the college receiving a quality certification along with an official commendation from the Ministry. That moment was an early confirmation that practical thinking, attention to detail, and building smart solutions that serve real-world needs… are the true path to creating real value, not just completing a school project.
After graduation...
- After graduating, Ahmed Abdel Rahman worked as a data engineer at ValU, then moved on to work as an information security engineer at several companies.
- Each experience added a new layer of understanding; not just of the technology, but of the people, the businesses, and the real problems.
- He constantly considered starting his own business and earned a Master of Business Administration diploma from Dr. Ehab Muslim.
The question was no longer: How to implement it?
It became: How to build something valuable and sustainable?
Establishing a technology company...
- A Tiqnia company was founded by Ahmed Abdel Rahman and Amr Blasi – an artificial intelligence engineer – and after two years, Amr traveled to work outside of Egypt, so the journey continued with complete faith in the idea, and with greater responsibility towards the dream.
- Step by step, and with a focus on delivering work that is respected above all else, the tiqnia has grown.
From one individual, to an integrated team of designers and programmers, working with one spirit and one goal: for technology to be a means to real success, not just a service that is delivered and then ends. - Today, the company is leading with a clear vision, supported by
Counselor Mohamed Kamel El-Khatib – Chairman of the Board, brings extensive expertise and strategic vision that support the company’s stability and institutional growth. - The company’s executive management is led by Ahmed Abdelrahman, CEO, overseeing the technical direction and the development of digital solutions built on understanding before execution.
