The story of founding a technology company

  • In 2015, with his first steps at the Faculty of Computers and Information at Zagazig University, Ahmed Abdel Rahman, founder and CEO of Tiqnia Company, began his journey into the world of programming and technology.
  • He learned programming and specialized in information security.

Graduation project...

  • The project was truly exceptional; it was directly supervised by the Dean of the College, with the participation of consultants from the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Electricity.

  • There, at that early stage, Ahmed Abdel Rahman and his team shouldered a responsibility far greater than a mere university project. They began working with a professional mindset from day one, as if laying the foundation for something bigger than a simple academic experiment.

  • The idea was to build a smart lighting system that understands its surroundings. The lights automatically detect the approach of cars or people and activate immediately. When there is no movement, they switch to energy-saving mode. But it didn’t stop there. The system was designed to monitor the temperature of the lighting units and send immediate alerts if it rises, allowing for preventative measures and ensuring the highest levels of safety and sustainability. This project wasn’t just an academic success; the team was honored at the Military Technical College, and it led to the college receiving a quality certificate and an official award from the Ministry. That moment was an early confirmation that practical thinking, attention to detail, and building smart solutions that serve real-world needs are the true path to creating real value, not just completing an academic project.

After graduation...

  • After graduating, Ahmed Abdel Rahman worked as a data engineer at ValU, then moved on to work as an information security engineer at several companies. Each experience added a new layer of understanding; not only of technology, but also of people, companies, and real-world problems.

  • He constantly considered starting his own business and earned an MBA from Dr. Ehab Muslim. The question was no longer: How to implement it?

  • It became: How to build something valuable and sustainable?

Establishing a Tiqnia company...

  • A Tiqnia company was founded by Ahmed Abdelrahman and Amr Balasi – an artificial intelligence engineer. Two years later, Amr traveled abroad for work, but the journey continued with unwavering belief in the idea and a greater sense of responsibility towards the dream.

  • Step by step, and with a commitment to delivering work that commands respect above all else, Tiqnia has grown.

  • From a single individual, it has become a fully integrated team of designers and programmers, working with one spirit and one goal: to make Tiqnia a means to genuine success, not just a service to be delivered and then forgotten.

  • Today, the company is guided by a clear vision, supported by Consultant Mohamed Kamel El-Khatib – Chairman of the Board, whose extensive experience and strategic vision support the company’s stability and institutional growth.

  • The company’s executive management is led by Ahmed Abdelrahman, CEO, who oversees the technological direction and the development of digital solutions based on understanding before implementation.
